Join our team of problem solvers as we add new chapters to the history of spaceflight! This role is part of Blue Origin Operations, which is comprised of Integrated Supply Chain, Test Operations, Safety, Quality, and Mission Assurance. It includes Manufacturing and Supply Chain support across all Blue Origin facilities. The position will directly impact space exploration and requires commitment to safety, detail, and repeatable flight.
You will develop strategic procurement solutions and perform day-to-day tactical purchasing for various spaceflight systems.
Our Supply Chain Manager – Machine Parts Procurement will ensure program requirements are prioritized and executed, develop category plans, evaluate the supply base, build business cases, and identify risks/opportunities. You will mentor and engage the Supply Chain buyers and subcontracts administrators, facilitate communication with program teams, and ensure compliance with Blue Origin Supply Chain standards. You will prepare and issue Requests for Proposal, perform cost analysis, develop negotiation strategies, and manage contract types for major procurement activities.

Qualifications- Bachelor's degree with 5 years of experience, or Master's degree with 3 years of experience in Business Administration/Management, Supply Chain Management, Engineering or related industry experience.
- Experience managing subcontracting of machine parts R&D, specifications, build‑to‑print and COTS commodities.
- Significant understanding of U.S. Government and non‑U.S. Government / Commercial acquisitions.
- Knowledge of ITAR and FAR/DFARS compliance.
- Experience with various contract types (Firm‑Fixed Price, Time & Material, Cost‑Plus).
- Experience assessing proposal compliance (FAR 15.4) and supporting DCMA CPSR events.
- Maintain compliant and accurate files and data records.
- Strong analytical skills and experience establishing and tracking program metrics.
- Ability to interpret and apply company policies, procedures, and U.S. regulations (e.g., FAR, DFAR, SOX).
- Create and maintain systems and processes to streamline operations.
- Ensure timely and effective completion of projects and initiatives of the supply chain department.
- Top‑notch people and communication skills.
- Working understanding of AS9100 standards.
- Knowledge of engineering data such as specifications, I.P. and data rights.
- Basic understanding of budgeting/expense management and financial information.
- Eagerness to identify opportunities, find solutions, execute plans and evaluate results.
- Highly analytical and critical thinker.
- Maintains passion for solving problems end‑to‑end.
- Experience engaging with and influencing leadership teams.
- Proven ability to meet tight deadlines, multi‑task and prioritize workload.
- Track record of working in ambiguous environments and defining scalable processes.
- Adept at working with different systems and recommending improvements.
- Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) Certification.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification.
- Current active DoD Secret Security Clearance and/or Special Access.
