Responsibilities
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Logistics Specialist in Plantation, FL. The Inbound Logistics Specialist coordinates and monitors inbound freight to ensure timely and cost‑effective delivery. This role works closely with drayage providers, receiving sites, customers, and internal teams to manage freight movement, troubleshoot issues, and minimize supply chain disruptions. The ideal candidate is a resilient, self‑motivated logistics professional with a deep understanding of port terminal operations and freight interchange processes.
- Freight Coordination:
Track inbound shipments and ensure timely delivery between points of discharge (POD) and final destinations. - Vendor & Partner Management:
Maintain strong relationships with ocean carriers, drayage providers, customs brokers, and terminal operators. - Troubleshooting & Issue Resolution:
Address delays, accessorial charges, and equipment issues at all points of freight interchange. - Capacity Planning & Forecasting:
Assess inbound drayage and warehouse receiving capacities. - Documentation & System Management:
Reconcile inbound records, perform system checks, and manage freight cost calculations. - Reporting & Visibility:
Update tracking systems and provide daily status reports to ensure shipment visibility. - Transmissions of documentation to customs brokers for customs clearance; manage communication with carriers, brokers and customers.
- 3+ years in logistics, transportation, or supply chain management, with at least 1 year in an international logistics environment.
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs.

- Salaried personnel receive paid time off; hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
