This position is responsible for maintaining all Broward House owned properties through supervision of Technician, implementation of maintenance, responding to work orders performing general HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, door hardware and general maintenance.

In addition to other duties, this position will:

Provide direction and support to facilities staff with tasks and interactions with other staff and clients.

Monitor, prioritize and respond to maintenance help desk requests.

Implement and track progress of routine maintenance schedules, while making suggestions for improvement.

Monitor each property on a regular schedule, as directed by Facilities Director.

Complete necessary tasks related to contracted renovations and construction projects.

Maintain inventory of maintenance-related equipment and supplies.

Monitor and respond to emergency facility requests.

Maintain a professional courteous manner with all residents, vendors, contractors, and fellow employees.

Maintain orderliness, safety and cleanliness of properties.

Assure safety standards are used which comply with all company, local, City, State, and Federal guidelines.

Perform duties as assigned during hurricanes, or other emergencies.

Prompt completion and submission of all paperwork involved with maintenance functions.

Special projects and other responsibilities as may be determined.

Skills/Requirements

This position requires at a minimum, a high school diploma or equivalent, and (2) years directly related experience.

Valid Florida Driver’s License and ongoing proof of insurance required.

Electrical and Flooring (2) year minimum experience required.

HVAC certified preferred.

Proficiency in the use of standard power and hand tools.

Basic math skills for measurement and computation.

Ability to read and comprehend assembly directions.

Important Notes

Must pass all drug and background screening, including a level 2 federal background and motor vehicle screening.

Hours:

Full-time 40/hrs. including rotating holidays.
