Commercial Loan Operations Manager

This is a banking position-must have commercial loan related experience

We are seeking an experienced Loan Operations Manager to lead the daily functions of a loan operations team and ensure efficient, accurate execution across the loan lifecycle. This role is both hands-on and supervisory, ideal for someone who has grown through loan operations and can balance team leadership with active operational support.

The Loan Operations Manager plays a critical role in maintaining workflow continuity, supporting staff with escalations, and ensuring loan onboarding and closing activities are completed accurately and on time. This position is fully on-site and includes direct management of a small operations team.

• Oversee day-to-day loan operations workflows to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and timeliness.
• Support team members with questions, escalations, and process guidance, particularly during leadership absences or peak periods.
• Manage and coordinate loan onboarding and closing activities, ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
• Lead onboarding and ongoing training for new and existing team members.
• Provide coaching, feedback, and performance support to direct reports.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and assist with implementing standardized best practices.
• Serve as a working manager by performing operational tasks as needed while supervising the team.

• Prior experience in loan operations with demonstrated progression into a supervisory or leadership role.
• Strong understanding of the full loan process, from onboarding through closing.
• Proven ability to lead, train, and support a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to balance hands-on operational work with leadership responsibilities.
