Summary
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager with a strong background in managing large municipal and public-sector construction projects (over $20M). The ideal candidate will be proficient in CMiC (for project financials, budgeting, job costing, change management, and reporting) and Plan Grid (now part of Autodesk Construction Cloud—for document control, RFIs, submittals, drawings, and field collaboration). You will oversee the full project lifecycle from pre-construction through closeout, ensuring successful delivery on time, within budget, and in compliance with public contract requirements while fostering strong client and team relationships.
Key Responsibilities- Lead overall project planning, execution, and closeout for major municipal projects, serving as the primary point of contact for owners, architects, engineers, and regulatory agencies
- Develop and manage detailed project schedules, budgets, and resource plans using CMiC tools for job costing, forecasting, and financial tracking
- Utilize Plan Grid to manage project documentation, track RFIs, submittals, change orders, daily reports, and drawing revisions; ensure real-time collaboration between office and field teams
- Coordinate with the Superintendent, subcontractors, vendors, and stakeholders to align on scope, milestones, and deliverables
- Monitor project costs, cash flow, and progress; identify variances early, prepare accurate forecasts, and implement corrective actions to mitigate risks or overruns
- Handle contract administration, including negotiating change orders, processing payments, and ensuring compliance with public bidding laws, prevailing wage requirements, and government regulations
- Facilitate regular project meetings, prepare status reports, and communicate progress, issues, and resolutions to municipal clients and internal leadership
- Oversee risk management, quality control, safety compliance (including OSHA standards), and dispute resolution
- Promote a collaborative, family-oriented culture by mentoring team members, resolving conflicts, and emphasizing long-term accountability and excellence
- 10+ years of experience as a Project Manager on large commercial/municipal/public works projects (minimum $20M+ value preferred)
- Proven expertise in CMiC construction management software (job setup, budgeting, cost tracking, change orders, financial reporting, etc.)
- Strong proficiency in Plan Grid (or Autodesk Construction Cloud equivalent) for document management, field workflows, and issue tracking
- In-depth knowledge of commercial/municipal construction methods, scheduling, cost control, and relevant codes (Florida Building Code and public works standards a plus)
- Demonstrated ability to interpret complex plans, specifications, and contracts
- Excellent leadership, negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills; proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget in a public-sector environment
- Experience navigating government procurement, permitting, inspections, and compliance processes
- Valid Florida Driver’s License and reliable transportation

- OSHA 30-Hour Certification
- Familiarity with additional tools such as Bluebeam, MS Project, Primavera, or similar
