Program Project Coordinator Senior – Aviation Operations Division
The Aviation Department which operates the Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport, and the North Perry Airport is seeking a qualified applicant for the position of Program Project Coordinator Senior for the Aviation Operations Division. The need currently exists for a dedicated professional to augment the Operations Division Ground Transportation Enforcement team.

- Specialized ground transportation enforcement activities, ensuring understanding of State of Florida Statutes, airport and county ordinances, and non‑criminal hearing processes. Assist with aviation case files, determine case validity using ordinances, State Statute, Airport Rules and Regulations, Airport Operating Guidelines, and internal procedures. Review Broward County Sun Biz and other databases.
- Plan, develop, authorize, implement, and evaluate programs/projects, activities, and services on a large scale with County-wide impact; prepare reports; analyze and interpret data; conduct research and recommend best practices for standard operating procedures, county ordinances, citation format changes, and technology upgrades.
- Supervise direct subordinates and handle related paperwork, including Kronos, evaluations, and other items.
- Work independently, under limited supervision, reporting major activities through periodic meetings.
- Coordinate and administer large‑scale programs and/or projects related to overall Airport Operations – Ground Transportation. Maintain effective working relationships with airport tenants, public, co‑workers, elected and appointed officials, and partner agencies.
- Communicate effectively, read, review, analyze, and draft manuals, letters of agreements, standard operating procedures with proper language, punctuation, grammar, and style. Work is reviewed through individual and team meetings, reports, and program achievements.
- Other duties and responsibilities: draft policies and procedures; review case files and citations; answer phone calls and emails; respond to emergencies; coordinate with emergency responders; develop and implement operating procedures; perform research; issue citations; reconcile weekly activity; maintain accurate license application records; train operators, vendors, and public on laws and ordinances; conduct field inspections; act as Airport Manager in absence; perform related work as assigned.
- Requires a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in business or public administration or closely related field. One year of relevant experience may be substituted for each year of required education.
- Requires four (4) years of experience in a staff or administrative capacity managing an automated exit lane program along with overseeing or managing construction from a security standpoint within the airport or aviation environment or closely related experience.
- Valid Florida Class E Driver’s License based on area of assignment.

- Certification in any of the four levels of Florida Association of Code Enforcement (F.A.C.E.)
- American Association of Airport Executive Airport Certified Employee (AAAE-ACE) in Operations, Communications, Security or SMS
- Certified Code Enforcement Professional (CEP)
- American Association of Airport Executives Certified Member (AAAE-CM)
- Airports Council International (ACI) Diploma in Airport Operations
