Compensation: $130,000 – $150,000 base + performance-based bonus
A global temperature-controlled logistics organization is seeking a Managing Director / General Manager – United States to lead and rebuild its U.S. operations. This Florida-based executive will have full P&L ownership and be responsible for driving revenue growth, improving gross margin performance, and strengthening operational and commercial execution across the U.S. business.
This is a high-impact leadership role requiring a hands-on, entrepreneurial leader with strong experience in freight forwarding, cold chain logistics, or temperature-controlled supply chain operations. The ideal candidate has successfully grown, restructured, or turned around underperforming teams and is comfortable operating with autonomy while reporting directly to international ownership.
Key Responsibilities Strategic & Financial LeadershipOwn full U.S. P&L responsibility, including revenue growth, margin expansion, and cost control
Develop and execute a strategic growth plan aligned with global objectives
Improve revenue quality, shipment volume, and gross margin performance
Establish reporting structure, KPIs, and accountability across teams
Lead new business development initiatives within cold container storage and temperature-controlled logistics
Build and maintain strategic customer relationships
Identify target markets, verticals, and high-value accounts
Oversee pricing strategy and contract negotiations
Lead a small but strategic commercial and operational team
Build structure, performance expectations, and engagement within the organization
Drive process improvements to increase operational efficiency
Recruit, mentor, and develop talent as needed to support growth
Act as the primary U.S. leader and liaison to international ownership
Provide regular performance updates and strategic recommendations
Represent the organization in industry engagements and key partnerships
7+ years of senior leadership experience in freight forwarding, cold chain logistics, temperature-controlled storage, or related supply chain sectors
Demonstrated success in growing revenue and improving margin performance
Experience with operational restructuring or business turnaround initiatives preferred
Strong understanding of international logistics and containerized shipping
Proven ability to build and lead small, high-performing teams
Entrepreneurial mindset with hands‑on leadership style
Strong financial acumen and P&L management experience
Based in or willing to relocate to Fort Lauderdale, Florida
Background in refrigerated container storage or temperature-controlled supply chains
Experience working with international ownership or global organizations
Established industry network within logistics and cold chain markets
Competitive executive base salary: $130,000 – $150,000
