Position OverviewThe Property Manager (Affordable Housing) will oversee a residential community. The ideal candidate will have experience with Section 8, HUD (Housing and Urban Development), PRAC, and LIHTC (Low‑Income Housing Tax Credit). They will also have certifications such as COS, TCS, or HCCP.
Responsibilities- Oversee the day‑to‑day operations on site.
- Manage tenant relations.
- Ensure compliance with HUD, LIHTC, and Project‑based subsidies.
- Responsible for recertifications.
- Coordinate maintenance and repairs.
- Handle lease renewals and manage tenant move‑ins and move‑outs.
- Maintain budget and expense reporting.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience.
- Extensive knowledge of HUD and LIHTC programs and compliance.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in property management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- 5+ years of property management experience.
- Experience managing affordable housing properties.
- Certification in property management (e.g., CPM).
- Tax Credit certifications (COS, TCS).
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Real Estate, or a related field is preferred.
