This role is designed for a seasoned healthcare design professional who thrives in the complexity of highly technical projects. The ideal candidate blends strong aesthetic sensibility with deep technical expertise, transforming challenging regulatory and clinical requirements into elegant, functional environments centered around patient care.
Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Architecture required
- 10-15 years of design experience, with a strong focus on healthcare projects
- Demonstrated expertise in healthcare planning, documentation, and delivery
- Advanced proficiency in Revit (required)
- Strong understanding of healthcare codes, life safety, and regulatory requirements
- Technical and contractual proficiency across all project phases
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- High emotional intelligence (EQ) with the ability to lead diverse teams effectively
- Active participation in professional organizations (e.g., AIA, AMFP) preferred
- Interest in contributing to thought leadership initiatives (white papers, blogs, etc.)
- Willingness to travel as required
- Healthcare technical leadership
- Project delivery strategy development
- QA/QC oversight and compliance
- Consultant coordination
- Client engagement and technical facilitation
- Team mentorship and studio development
- Code research and life safety expertise
- Cross-disciplinary collaboration
- Create and establish project delivery strategy aligned with client objectives
- Personally accountable for technical drawings and specifications
- Lead and direct production teams with clear daily communication
- Coordinate all consultants throughout the project lifecycle
- Lead regulator, code research, and life safety compliance efforts
- Collaborate with QA/QC leaders to maintain and enforce high-quality standards
- Lead client engagement during documentation phases
- Guide technical decision‑making processes
- Ensure clarity, accountability, and alignment throughout delivery
- Mentor and develop emerging talent within the studio
- Communicate firm standards and principles through active project leadership
- Lead by example in professionalism, ethics, and performance
- Uphold and embody the firm's core values
- Contribute to studio growth and continuous improvement initiatives
- Prolonged periods of sitting and working on a computer
- Ability to lift up to 15 pounds occasionally
