Position Overview

DAYTON-GRANGER, INC. (DG) is a third-generation family-owned aerospace manufacturer in Fort Lauderdale, FL that has been proudly operating for more than 82 years. We design, test, and manufacture aircraft antennas, electrostatic dischargers, and lightning protection components used on commercial, military, and private aircraft around the world. We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Shipping & Receiving Clerk to join our team in a role that is essential to keeping production moving and customer deliveries on schedule. This position is responsible for accurately processing incoming and outgoing shipments, verifying materials against documentation, maintaining organized records, and ensuring all parts are handled, stored, and shipped according to company and quality standards.

This is a steady, full-time opportunity within a structured manufacturing environment where clear processes, teamwork, and consistency are valued.

Responsibilities
  • Prepares and ships outgoing merchandise that includes: packaging, weighing, attaching proper labels, and maintaining daily shipment logs.
  • Confirms orders in computer database system, and prints packing lists and Certificates of Conformance.
  • Loads and unloads completed shipments onto trucks using hand trucks or conveyer.
  • Receives shipments by verifying part numbers, amounts, color or other specifications to match purchase orders, and print receiving reports to reflect what is actually received.
  • Moves received material to storage locations or delivers to correct areas interdepartmentally.
  • Files sales orders, receiving reports, packing slips.
  • Maintains shipping and receiving area conducive to good material control and in clean and orderly condition.
  • Assigned other tasks by management.
  • Follows all DG safety procedures as per company policies and per the Facility Engineer/Safety Director.
Minimum Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum 1–2 years of shipping and receiving experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment.
  • Hands‑on experience processing domestic and international shipments through UPS and Fed Ex systems.
  • Experience verifying packing slips, purchase orders, and part numbers for accuracy.
  • Basic computer proficiency (ERP systems, shipping software, data entry).
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy when handling documentation.
  • Ability to perform basic math calculations (weights, quantities, measurements).
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and remain on your feet for extended periods (bending, reaching, standing).
  • Strong communication skills in English (written and verbal).
  • Dependable attendance and ability to follow established processes and safety procedures.
