This is a high-impact, hands‑on leadership role for a Production Supervisor who thrives in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment and takes ownership of both operational performance and team development. You will lead the day‑to‑day operations of our Paint Department, overseeing Chemical Coating, Composite Bonding, and Finishing processes to ensure production goals are met safely, efficiently, and in compliance with quality standards.
You will be responsible for driving execution on the production floor by balancing throughput, quality, labor efficiency, and schedule attainment while partnering closely with Production Control and other departments to address changing priorities and resolve production challenges. Success in this role requires a strong leader who is comfortable making decisions in real time, holding teams accountable, coaching employees, and proactively identifying opportunities for process improvement.

Responsibilities- Oversee daily operations across Chemical Coating, Composite Bonding, and Finishing (Paint, Sanding, and Touch‑Up) to meet safety, quality, delivery, and cost objectives.
- Assign work orders, prioritize tasks, and optimize workforce efficiency to meet production goals and deadlines, working closely with Production Control to adjust schedules as needed.
- Monitor key performance metrics (productivity, efficiency, and quality), identifying and resolving bottlenecks and quality concerns in collaboration with cross‑functional teams.
- Provide leadership, coaching, and training to leadspersons and operators, ensuring adherence to proper standards, procedures, and safety protocols while fostering a collaborative work environment.
- Manage employee performance, hiring, training, evaluations, and disciplinary actions, ensuring team engagement and development.
- Monitor and meet departmental KPIs assigned by Senior Management.
- Drive continuous improvement efforts using lean manufacturing tools (e.g., 5S, Kaizen) to enhance workflow efficiency and reduce waste.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment in collaboration with the Facility Manager and Safety Director.
- Submit purchase requisitions for supplies and equipment to maintain uninterrupted operations.
- Regularly communicate department updates to management and implement process improvements.
- Perform additional tasks assigned by management.
- High School Diploma or GED
- 4+ years of experience in a manufacturing management role, supervising direct reports and overseeing daily production operations.
- Expertise in Paint (required), with the ability to learn and oversee Composite bonding, chemical coating, and finishing. Experience with Composites is a huge plus.
