Mechanic Competitive Pay — Based on Experience | Belle Glade, FL | Full-Time Tripp Electric Motors, an MCE Company Are you mechanically inclined, a quick learner, and looking for a hands-on shop role where you can build real expertise in electromechanical repair?

As an Electromechanical Mechanic at Tripp Electric Motors, you will test, disassemble, clean, repair, and retest AC and DC electromechanical equipment — motors, pumps, and related components — for customers in agricultural, municipal, food processing, and industrial markets across Florida. You will read job cards, identify and requisition needed parts, replace worn or defective mechanical and electromechanical assemblies, and maintain complete and accurate job documentation.

Every piece of equipment you repair goes back into operation for customers who cannot afford downtime.

Prior experience with motors is a plus but not required — basic mechanical aptitude and a genuine willingness to learn are what matter most.

What You'll DoDiagnosis and Disassembly Read job cards to determine job status, work authorizations and limitations, estimated scope, description of problems, and expected serviceability.

Test electromechanical equipment (AC and DC) to troubleshoot known or suspected problems using various methods.

Disassemble electromechanical equipment, noting parts identification, configuration, and conditions throughout the process.

Cleaning and Parts Clean electromechanical equipment assemblies using various methods and steps including parts washers, steamers, caustic tanks, glass beaders, and related equipment.

Measure for or note proper replacement parts; correctly requisition needed items from the storekeeper as approved by supervisor.

Repair, Reassembly and Testing Replace or repair worn or defective mechanical or electromechanical assemblies including bearings, brushes, brush holders, motor leads, gears, seals, impellers, mechanical switches, brakes, clutches, clutch rotors, tachs, fans, end shields, and related components.

Retest reassembled electromechanical equipment to verify proper output and operation before release.

Operate specialized repair and testing equipment and other shop equipment as needed.

Documentation, Safety and Shop Support Complete required paperwork for each job accurately and on a timely basis.

Observe all safety procedures and use proper protective gear — especially eye and ear protection — at all times.

Lift, tighten, adjust, and/or secure heavy objects as required to perform work duties.

Assist other mechanics and shop personnel in skilled or non-skilled duties as directed by supervisor or shop project manager.

Keep work area neat and clean as directed by supervisor.

What We're Looking For Must Have:

Basic mechanical aptitude with the ability to learn and retain skill-related training, operational procedures, and safety requirements as demonstrated by the supervisor.

Reliable, safety-conscious, and committed to doing the job right every time.

Ability to lift and handle heavy objects and work in a physically active shop environment.

Nice to Have:

Knowledge of AC and DC motors and motor applications — a meaningful head start in this role.

Prior experience in an electromechanical repair, motor service, or industrial maintenance environment.
