Registered Nurse - Cardiac Cath Lab​/EP

Job Summary:

The RN Cath Lab position involves providing specialized nursing care in a fast-paced Cardiac Catheterization Lab setting. The nurse will support diagnostic and interventional procedures, including EP and vascular interventions, ensuring patient safety and optimal outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Administer care to patients undergoing cardiac catheterization, EP, and vascular procedures.
• Prepare patients for procedures by explaining expectations and ensuring all certifications are up to date.
• Monitor patient vital signs and respond promptly to any changes during procedures.
• Collaborate with physicians and technical staff to facilitate efficient and safe interventions.
• Document clinical findings, procedures, and patient responses accurately in electronic health records.
• Follow strict protocol for radiation safety, infection control, and patient comfort.

Qualifications:

• Registered Nurse with a valid license.
• Minimum of 18 months of recently demonstrated experience in a Cath Lab setting; 2 years preferred.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications; NIHSS certification obtained prior to start.
• Ability to work approximately 9 on-call shifts within a 5-week period.
• Experience with EP and Vascular procedures is preferred.
• Nicotine-free status with negative 10-panel drug test within 12 months of start.
