Registered Nurse Stepdown

Summary

Under general supervision renders professional nursing care in accordance with physicians' treatment plans in order to provide for the comfort and well-being of patients. In doing so, assess patients' condition, administer prescribed drugs, provide treatments, observe patients' progress, record pertinent observations, and report reaction to drugs and treatments. Assist physicians with examinations and prepare instruments and equipment for physicians' use.

• Graduate of an accredited nursing school (AD in Nursing RN Diploma or BSN); or if attended an approved nursing school must have two years of recent acute care hospital experience in the past three years.

• One to two years’ experience required.

• Registered Nurse
• BLS and ACLS through AHA or Red Cross
