Registered Nurse Neurosurgery

Summary

As a Neurosurgery Operating Room Nurse, under general supervision, you render specialized professional care and support to patients undergoing neurosurgery procedures during the intra‑operative phase. You possess a comprehensive understanding of the central and peripheral nervous system, and strong knowledge of complex skull‑based cranial neurosurgery, including combined skull‑based open and endoscopic procedures with otolaryngology, complex pediatric tumors, congenital neurological disorders, pediatric trauma patients, and other specialized pediatric neurosurgery procedures, as well as surgical treatment of adult cerebrovascular and rare spinal conditions.

Perform pre‑operative assessment of the patient’s condition, administer prescribed medications, provide treatments, observe patient progress, record pertinent observations, and report reactions to medication and treatments. Ensure compliance with infection control policies and standards. Assist physicians with examinations and prepare instruments and equipment for physician use.

Shift 1

Essential: Associate level in a Nursing Program from an accredited School of Nursing.

Essential: Three years of relevant experience.

$20,000 sign‑on bonus!
