Shift: Part Time 11pm-7am

Memory Care Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) – Position Summary

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) provides compassionate, person-centered care to residents in Assisted Living and Memory Support. Under the direction of the ALF Nurse Manager and nursing team, the CNA assists residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), promotes dignity and safety, and helps maintain a supportive and therapeutic environment. This role requires patience, empathy, teamwork, and the ability to work with residents who may have cognitive impairments such as dementia or Alzheimer's disease.

The CNA plays a vital part in enhancing residents’ well-being, supporting comfort, and ensuring that care is delivered in alignment with the community’s Service Excellence philosophy and core values.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Prioritizes resident rights, safety, dignity, and emotional well-being at all times.
  • Responds promptly to call lights, bells, or intercom requests and assesses residents’ needs.
  • Assists residents with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, mobility, and other ADLs.
  • Documents care accurately and timely in the electronic medical record.
  • Sets up, serves, and collects meal trays; provides feeding assistance when needed.
  • Assists residents with transfers, ambulation, and mobility devices.
  • Turns and repositions residents to prevent pressure injuries.
