Summary
Provide primary animal husbandry care for all animal exhibits within the MODS Living Collection.
Qualifications- A four‑year degree in animal husbandry, marine science or biology is required; equivalent experience may be substituted.
- Minimum of two years’ experience working with a variety of animal species in a zoo or aquarium setting and Basic Open Water SCUBA certification required.
- Experience with daily care and maintenance of live animal exhibits, including marine and freshwater aquariums, terrestrial and aquatic invertebrates, terrestrial and aquatic reptiles, amphibians and small mammals.
- Experience with otters, reptiles, small mammals, living coral systems and avian species are a plus.
- Must be able to work in a variety of climates, in high places, and lift at least 50 lbs.
- Position includes weekends and holiday work.
- Must function as a team member with strong leadership and organizational skills.
- Valid driver’s license required.
Wage starts at $19.00 hourly.
