Q'Straint is the World Leader in Mobility Passenger Securement Systems. We are currently recruiting for a Quality Technician.

The Quality Technician performs evaluation, testing and inspection of products or processes. Prepares inspection and testing instructions, manages non-conformances and corrective action, assists Quality Assurance Engineers with product analysis, Quality Control sampling plans, and the application of statistical techniques for process or product controls. Prepares formal Quality Assurance Test reports per company procedures.

DELIVERABLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Performs product testing and inspection of supplied and manufactured products.
  • Reviews documentation for completeness and accuracy from customers, manufacturing, and suppliers.
  • Assures products conform to customer, regulatory and/or internal requirements
  • Performs full dimensional reports and product validation in accordance with customer or internal product drawings
  • Operates and maintains testing and inspection equipment and assure proper calibration
  • Manage Non-Conformance Reports (NCR’s) and Corrective Actions Reports (CAR’s)
  • Assist with root cause analysis to eliminate and/or prevent non-conforming products
  • Implement and maintain Statistical Process Control (SPC) in manufacturing
  • Maintain metrics that provide visibility of Quality Management System (QMS) performance.
  • Develop and maintain Acceptance Test Procedures (ATPs), and test protocols.
  • Perform other duties according to business needs
QUALIFICATIONS (Education, Experience & Skills)
  • Certificate/Diploma from a Technical or Trade school.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of similar experience in a manufacturing or testing facility experience.
  • Certified Quality Inspector (CQI) and Certified Quality Technician (CQT) per ASQ guidelines a plus
  • Knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC) techniques and application
  • Demonstrated Communication skills (oral & technical writing)
  • Intermediate Math and Reading Comprehension, and Statistical skills
  • Ability to work effectively alone and within a team environment
