Position: Salesperson/Store Driver  Store 9216

Salesperson

Entry‑level sales position supporting the DIY business and achieving sales and service objectives. Requires knowledge of store systems, basic automotive system and part knowledge, and ability to source from stores, hubs, PDQ, and external suppliers. In‑depth inventory knowledge and maintenance processes are essential. Position can be part‑time or full‑time. Fleet safety certification preferred.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Provide excellent selling experience for DIY customer visits and phone calls.
  • Achieve personal sales goals and help the store reach its sales targets.
  • Provide DIY services including battery installation, testing, wiper installations, etc.
  • Maintain store product and operational standards.
  • Manage inventory processes such as truck put‑away, shoot‑outs, cycle counts, and back stock.
Secondary Responsibilities
  • Maintain store cleanliness (floors, bathrooms, facing, dusting, parking lot).
  • Perform general stocking including truck stocking and back stock.
  • Safely deliver parts to customers as needed.
Success Factors
  • Basic driving and navigation ability.
  • Proficiency in using delivery board systems.
  • Friendly communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to locate and stock parts efficiently.

  • Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, parts catalogs, and procedure manuals.
  • Use basic math accurately: add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure.
  • Work an assortment of days, evenings, and weekends as needed.
Prior Experience that Sets a Salesperson up for Success
  • 2–3 years of successful sales experience in a diverse retail environment, providing superior customer experiences.
Store Driver

Entry‑level store position delivering parts to commercial customers, assisting with store inventory processes. Position can be part‑time or full‑time and requires fleet safety certification.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Safely deliver parts to customers as needed.
  • Pick and stage parts for customer orders.
  • Pick up returns and cores.
  • Drop off weekly/monthly sales flyers.
  • Daily collection of credit accounts.
Secondary Responsibilities
  • Maintain store cleanliness (floors, bathrooms, facing, dusting, parking lot).
  • Perform general stocking including truck stocking and back stock.
Success Factors

Physical Demands

Predominantly walking or standing. Requires ability to talk, hear, use hands and fingers, reach, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Must frequently lift or move up to 50 lb and occasionally up to 100 lb. Vision: close, distance, color, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment

Mostly indoors, occasionally outdoors. Exposure to weather conditions while installing batteries and wiper blades. May be exposed to moving mechanical parts, high precarious places, toxic or caustic chemicals, electrical shock risk, explosives, and vibration. Noise level typically moderate.
