TheOpportunity
At Goodwill Industries of Central Florida, as a Donation Xpress Lead Attendant, you will oversee the day-to-day operations at a designated donation center, provide excellent customer service, assist donors with receipts, sort donated items, and help load donations for transport.
A Day in the Life of a Donation Xpress Lead Attendant- Opening and closing the donation center.
- Motivating, training, and retaining Donation Xpress center staff.
- Maintaining accurate records for the location and ensuring the proper flow of information; monitoring donor tallies for accuracy.
- Completing monthly safety meetings and participating in inspections as required.
- Providing feedback to supervisory staff on production employee performance.
- Adhering to all safety and cleanliness standards as directed.
- Assisting in loading GICF trucks with donated items as needed.
- Regularly lift and/or move up to 40 pounds independently and occasionally up to 100 pounds with assistance.
- Vision abilities include close, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to focus.
- Standing or walking for long periods; ability to stoop, bend, kneel, push, and pull.
- Sufficient mobility to turn from side to side and the ability to lean and remove items from containers.
- Work outdoors and indoors; exposure to weather conditions, dust, dirt, electricity, noise, fumes, and chemicals.
- Noise level is usually moderate (office with computers/printers, light traffic).
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Previous retail and/or stock handling experience is preferred.
- One (1) year of supervisory experience preferred.
- Intermediate level of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Internet browsers.
