Company DescriptionOlympia Tile+Stone Inc. traces its roots back to 1927, when Canada’s first ceramic tile wholesale distribution operation was founded, and later merged into Olympia Tile in the 1950s. Through the 1960s and 1970s, the organization expanded across 11 major Canadian cities and into multiple U.S. locations, becoming an international leader in the ceramic tile industry. In 1980, Olympia acquired Flextile Limited, a Canadian manufacturer of vinyl composite tile and specialized installation products, strengthening its presence in flooring and tile accessories.
The company continued to grow by acquiring leading U.S. distribution companies and expanding its import operations. Today, Olympia Tile+Stone is the exclusive distributor for more than 75 foreign manufacturers on five continents, making it the largest tile importer in Canada and a major supplier across the United States.
