Mechanic Job Description
As a mechanic, you will diagnose, adjust, and repair equipment and vehicles, including electrical, brake, hydraulic, cooling, and power steering systems, along with engines and other standard electrical components. You will perform both preventative and corrective maintenance and inspections independently, ensuring compliance with manufacturer and customer requirements. Adherence to industry standards and regulations is essential, as is maintaining rigorous quality control and product integrity.
You will act responsibly to prevent injuries by adhering to safety regulations, using safety equipment appropriately, reporting incidents, and promoting health and safety initiatives.
- Diagnose, adjust, and repair equipment and vehicles, including various systems and components.
- Perform preventative and corrective maintenance and inspections independently.

- Maintain rigorous quality control and product integrity.
- Promote and adhere to health and safety initiatives.
- Experience with diesel or ground support equipment (GSE).
- Strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems.
- Proficiency in using mobile devices and relevant applications.
- Valid Driver’s License; CDL preferred but not required.
- Must provide personal hand tools; specialized tools and diagnostic equipment are supplied.

WorkEnvironment
This on-site role is based at the assigned workshop, involving regular movement across workshop, yard, and airside areas, as well as office-based administrative work. Must be able to obtain and maintain an active airport-issued airside badge. You will work at the shop Monday through Friday, between the hours of 6 am - 8 pm, in either the first or second shift, and on Saturday/Sunday from 6 am - 2:30 pm, with some overtime.
The position requires active supervision of operations, equipment inspections, interaction with staff and customers, and completion of business administration tasks using a computer and related systems. Physical requirements include frequent walking, standing, bending, and reaching, with occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds. Good vision and hearing are essential, with expected exposure to noise, weather, and typical industrial hazards.
This is a Permanent position based out of Fort Lauderdale, FL.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $58,240.00 - $68,640.00/yr.
