Aircraft Technician
As an Aircraft Technician, you will be responsible for performing maintenance and repair on a variety of corporate aircraft in compliance with specific manufacturer and FAA guidelines and regulations. You will troubleshoot aircraft malfunctions on basic aircraft systems, ensuring the aircraft is returned to service in an airworthy condition.
Responsibilities- Communicate regularly with the crew leader regarding job progression.
- Expedite troubleshooting and obtain technical information from the crew leader as needed.
- Complete sign-out forms when taking parts from stock.
- Prepare documentation, repair and maintenance records, and other required paperwork as per regulations.
- Return tools and equipment to their designated storage locations.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area to present a professional image.
- Perform specific assigned shop duties.
- Complete and sign off aircraft prep forms as authorized.
- Maintain work schedules of aircraft to meet customers' flight schedules.
- Assure timely and efficient completion of work.
- Complete discrepancy items for work not yet complete.
- Maintain a file of information required for effective work on the aircraft.
- Prepare kit installations.
- Secure aircraft with cowlings and ensure that aircraft doors are locked at the end of the shift.
- 3+ years of aircraft apprentice experience on corporate aircraft.
- Must have own tools.
- Must possess an airframe license and ability to obtain a P license within 6 months.
Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in corporate aircraft maintenance.
- Knowledge in scheduled maintenance and ground support equipment.
This role is based in a hangar environment with operating hours from Monday to Friday, 8am to 4:30pm, offering overtime opportunities.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fort Lauderdale, FL.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $35.00 - $38.00/hr eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
