Mechanic, Trades ​/ Skilled Labor

Tico is hiring Mechanics, All Skill Levels at our site in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. This position is typically an 8‑hour shift, with occasional overtime. Great pay, benefits,
sign on bonus and lots of room for growth! 95% of our fleet are trucks we build at our plant in Ridgeland, S.C. They all have the same power package and driveline. They are mirror images of each other, so a mechanic doesn’t have to learn too many variations and we can train the right candidate!

• Conducts safety checks on vehicles and equipment.
• Performs inspection, diagnosis and repair of electrical, hydraulic, suspension, A/C, steering, cooling, DPF, brake and air systems on vehicles and equipment.
• Performs repairs and assigned preventive maintenance services.
• Ability to utilize computer software diagnostic systems to interpret failure modes to initiate or assign repairs.
• Completes required paperwork utilizing fleet maintenance software program associated with repairing vehicles, documenting parts usage, and accounting for repair times.
• Reviews, completes, or assigns repairs.
• Performs maintenance related work as required.
• Maintains a clean, safe work area in compliance with corporate and OSHA standards.
• Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures.
• Effectively communicate needed repairs or tasks.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Preferably 2+ years of experience in:
  Heavy truck repair
• Heavy, medium duty or farm equipment repair.
• Forklift or construction equipment repair.
• Automotive maintenance and repair.
• Completion of a diesel or automotive tech program.

Good attitude, willingness to learn, and strong work ethic are preferred qualities.

Must maintain your own tool set (company provided tool program available).
