Marine Technician/Mechanic

Coastal Offshore X-Cellence is seeking a skilled and dependable Marine Technician / Mechanic to join our growing team. This role is responsible for maintaining, repairing, and installing marine vessel systems and mechanical equipment, with a strong focus on electrical, mechanical, and stabilization technologies.

The ideal candidate is hands-on, detail-oriented, and experienced working in marine environments. This position plays a critical role in supporting vessel performance, safety, and reliability while delivering high-quality service to our customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on marine vessels and mechanical systems
• Install, service, and troubleshoot gyroscopic stabilizers, trim tabs, and fin stabilization systems
• Diagnose electrical and mechanical issues using schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals
• Conduct fabrication and assembly work using fiberglass, acrylic, starboard, and marine-grade materials
• Utilize hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments to ensure accurate repairs
• Assist with vessel installations, rigging, and equipment upgrades
• Maintain detailed service records and ensure compliance with safety standards
• Support preventative maintenance programs to minimize downtime and maximize equipment performance
• Work collaboratively with team members to deliver reliable, high-quality service

Qualifications

• Experience as a Marine Technician, Mechanic, or Service Technician in marine or related industries
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
• Experience installing or servicing gyroscopic stabilizers or marine stabilization systems preferred
• Ability to read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals
• Hands-on experience with fabrication, rigging, and mechanical repair
• Familiarity with electrical testing equipment and precision measuring tools
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
• Ability to work in physically demanding environments requiring lifting, bending, and standing
• Valid driver's license required
• Military or technical training is a plus
