Building Automation Supervisor

We are seeking an experienced Building Automation Supervisor to lead and oversee building automation and controls projects throughout the Miami / Fort Lauderdale market.

This is a hands-on leadership position responsible for supervising technicians and engineers, coordinating project activities, troubleshooting BAS/controls systems, and ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience with Building Automation Systems (BAS), HVAC controls, commissioning, troubleshooting, and field supervision
.

• Supervise BAS / building automation technicians and field personnel.
• Oversee installation, programming, startup, commissioning, and troubleshooting of BAS systems.
• Review project drawings, sequences of operation, points lists, and control schematics.
• Support technicians with complex controls and HVAC troubleshooting.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, mechanical contractors, electricians, and customers.
• Ensure installations meet project specifications and quality standards.
• Assist with project scheduling, manpower planning, and resource allocation.
• Perform system testing and commissioning.
• Identify and resolve technical issues in the field.
• Provide technical guidance and training to junior technicians.
• Maintain project documentation, service reports, and commissioning records.
• Ensure all work is performed safely and in accordance with company procedures.
• Act as a key point of contact between the field team, management, and customers.

• 5+ years of experience in Building Automation / HVAC Controls
  .
• Previous supervisory, lead technician, or foreman experience.
• Strong knowledge of BAS/DDC controls and HVAC systems.
• Experience with installation, startup, commissioning, and troubleshooting.
• Ability to read control drawings, wiring diagrams, and mechanical plans.
• Strong understanding of HVAC sequences of operation.
• Experience working with major BAS platforms such as Trane, Johnson Controls, Siemens, Honeywell, Schneider, Automated Logic
  , or similar.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and field personnel.
• Valid driver's license.

• Experience with large commercial buildings, healthcare, higher education, or data center projects.
• BAS programming experience.
• Experience with Niagara / Tridium.
• Electrical or HVAC background.
• Experience coordinating subcontractors and mechanical/electrical trades.
• Previous experience managing commissioning activities.
• Salary up to $130,000
  , depending on experience.
