Xylem is looking for a Field Service and Inventory Technician to report to our Fort Lauderdale, FL location and support both field service operations and inventory/warehouse functions. This role is approximately 50% field-based and 50% warehouse/inventory-focused, supporting our water treatment equipment and service teams across the surrounding area.
** What your day will look like as a Field Service and Inventory Technician
** The Field Service and Inventory Technician is responsible for the installation, service, and maintenance of water purification equipment at customer sites, utilizing a company service vehicle. In addition, this role plays a key part in warehouse operations, inventory management, and material readiness to ensure efficient field service execution.
** Field Service Responsibilities (Approximately 50%)
*** Install, service, troubleshoot, and maintain water treatment and purification equipment at customer sites
* Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and basic repairs
* Identify and resolve potential safety concerns at customer locations
* Maintain a high level of professionalism in a customer-facing role
* Accurately document service activities using Microsoft Office tools and smart devices
* Participate in a compensated on-call rotation with occasional afternoons/weekends
** Inventory & Warehouse Responsibilities (Approximately 50%)
*** Receive, inspect, stock, and organize parts, tools, and water treatment equipment in the warehouse
* Maintain accurate inventory levels through tracking, cycle counts, and system updates
* Pick, stage, and prepare materials and equipment for scheduled field service jobs
* Coordinate inventory replenishment and communicate material needs with service and operations teams
* Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment
* Load and unload service vehicles as needed to support daily operations

Equipment-specific training will be provided. We are willing to train the right person; however, prior technical, mechanical, plumbing, warehouse, or inventory experience is strongly encouraged.

This position has general day shift hours with overtime opportunities.
