This Human Services Program Specialist position manages the Florida Kid Care Outreach Program at the Broward County Health Department under the Department of Health. The role involves supervisory responsibilities, program planning and evaluation, community outreach coordination, and serving as a subject matter expert on the Kid Care program. The Program Manager chairs the Kid Care Partners Taskforce and oversees staff responsible for customer service, enrollment assistance, and community engagement activities.
Keyqualifications
- Experience hiring, supervising, evaluating and managing employees
- Knowledge of health insurance programs and/or public health outreach initiatives
- Ability to develop and maintain databases for program tracking and performance monitoring
- Strong coalition building and community engagement skills
- Ability to prepare written reports, grant applications, and strategic plans
- Effective oral and written communication skills in English
