- Collaborate with teachers to deliver approved substance use prevention curricula in schools and other agencies
- Facilitate group or individual classrooms and assemblies, conduct observations and monitoring, and implement programs directly
- Prepare and deliver program materials
- Participate in community coalition meetings and task force committees
- Recruit and secure school and community implementation locations
- Secure training sites for approved programs
- Market and promote programs to community schools
- Provide alcohol and other drug education to parents, faculty, and agency staff
- Provide substance abuse information and other community resources to schools and partners
- Complete monitoring reports required by grants, including DCF reports
- Complete daily documentation and Salesforce/CPG data entries within required time frames
- Assist the Prevention Coordinator and Regional Prevention Coordinator on special projects
- Maintain knowledge of prevention disciplines, trends, and best practices
- Document program success through satisfaction surveys, training evaluations, and observations
- Bachelor's degree in human services, education, or related field preferred, or equivalent combination of education, training, and related experience
- Minimum of 1 year working with adolescents, preferably in a school or public health setting
- Certified Prevention Professional (CPP) preferred or Certified Prevention Specialist (CPS)
- Ability to communicate substance use risks, consequences, healthy decision-making, coping skills, and peer pressure resistance to adolescents
- Strong presentation and group facilitation skills
- Superb verbal and written communication skills, including interactive public speaking and active listening
- Ability to advocate for Hanley Foundation and promote its services in the community
- Knowledge of adolescent development
- Strong computer and technical skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to use various software tools
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and excellent judgment
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to undergo a background check
- Valid driver's license, access to reliable transportation, and willingness and ability to drive for work purposes
- Ability to travel and deliver lengthy, multi-session public presentations
- Ability to work extended hours, including early mornings, evenings, and occasional weekends
- If in recovery, one year of continuous sobriety is required
- Must reside in or near Broward County, Florida
Demonstrates expertise in substance use prevention education, effective communication with adolescents, and strong facilitation skills. Proficient in program implementation, community engagement, and data documentation.
