Overview
Our client, a Global Medical Device Manufacturer, has an immediate opening for an Embedded Software Test Engineer (Robotic Assisted Surgery) for a 12-month contract opportunity. Note: Onsite role with 3-4 days onsite with flex to be 2 days remote. LOCAL CANDIDATES ONLY.
Responsibilities- Collaborate closely with developers, product owners, and other team members to fully understand requirements and ensure high-quality implementations and application changes.
- Participate in daily Scrum meetings, Sprint planning, Sprint Retrospective, and Backlog grooming meetings with Scrum team members to support cross-functional teams and execute testing for multiple ongoing projects.
- Review user stories and analyze software requirements with the product owner and developers to ensure they are clear and testable.
- Create, review, and execute manual and/or automated test cases to verify the correct functionality, usability, performance, and reliability of systems and applications.
- Create and execute test designs and test plans with minimal supervision to verify adherence to the company's development process and software requirement specifications.
- Adhere to fundamental industry standards, design requirements, and test strategies that apply to regulatory requirements.
- Assist in test planning and risk analysis activities.
- Clearly document and track defects for anomalies found during test development and procedures utilizing designated tools.
- Verify the effectiveness of resolutions to anomalies and document results.
- Bachelor's Degree in applicable engineering discipline preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years in a Software Test Engineer role working with Robotic devices.
- Demonstrated experience in software testing methods, test case development, and software development practices.
- Knowledge of SDLC methodologies including waterfall and AGILE (Kanban).
- Experience with JAMA, Jira, and other testing/management tools.
