A strong Java/Spring Boot eCommerce Tech Lead with architecture and leadership experience is likely a better fit than a pure SFCC developer. The client would rather train SFCC than compromise on broader technical depth.
- The client needs someone who can understand the entire commerce ecosystem, including:
- Backend services
- System and data flows
- Architecture and technical design
- Code reviews and technical leadership
- Cross-platform integrations
- Full-stack eCommerce solutions
- Java / Spring Boot
- Full-stack eCommerce experience
- Technical Lead experience
- Architecture, integrations, and system flow understanding
- SFCC experience (preferred, but trainable)
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related field
- 10+ years of experience in digital commerce development
- 4+ years of hands-on SFCC experience
- Experience leading enterprise-scale commerce initiatives and distributed engineering teams
