Fleet Maintenance Manager

Job Description:The Fleet Services Manager is directly responsible for customer contact for scheduling maintenance and repair work on vehicles and equipment.
- Schedules for vehicle and equipment repair work. Coordinates outside work with vendors and customers.
- Ensure that all vehicles are properly maintained, clean and fully operational on a daily basis.
- Maintains vehicle records and performs clerical duties such as filing vehicle repairs records and data entry into maintenance management software system.
- Performs minor repairs and maintenance to college fleet vehicles.
- Prepares preventive maintenance schedule, contacts departments to schedule preventive maintenance service.
- Monitors and tracks warranty repair programs, including manufacturers vehicle recalls.
- Responsible for maintaining fleet College pool vehicles.
- Responsible for purchasing fuel, parts and service for fleet pool vehicles.
- Assist in the preparing and maintaining transportation annual budget.
- Evaluate and recommend the replacement of vehicles as needed.
- Monitors and reviews all entries into fleet management software to ensure that timely and accurate information is gathered for each activity performed by fleet contracted vendors.
- Responsible for providing driving services for college enteral departments and special events. Also, will assist CHS as a substitute driver as needed.
- Prepares and submits purchasing requisitions, monitors and provides annual budget recommendations.
- Drive a CHS school bus on an as needed basis.
- Complete annual mandatory training.

- 36-hour, 4-day workweek (Monday - Thursday) available to many departments | 40-hour workweek | 34-hour workweek
- Free tickets to designated Mattie Kelly Arts Center and Raider Athletic events
- High school diploma or GED and passenger or heavy equipment fleet management experience or an associate degree.
- Valid CDL with school bus and passenger endorsement
- Ability to secure a commercial Driver's license with six months of hiring date and maintain a valid CDL during length of employment.
- Must pass CDL related drug and alcohol testing throughout term of employment.
