Class A Truck Driver
Trillium Drivers is hiring an experienced Class A CDL Driver for a local dedicated account in Pembroke Pines, FL.
This position pays $26.00 per hour with overtime after 40 hours worked. Operations run Monday through Saturday. Drivers can expect to work 5 or 6 days per week depending on business demand. Shifts are typically 8–9 hours per day, with start times between 8:00 PM and 5:00 AM, depending on the assigned route. This is a local position, and drivers are home daily.
Drivers will operate a 53' dry van tractor-trailer making 1–2 deliveries per route. This is a heavy touch freight position. Drivers are responsible for unloading freight by hand and with a hand truck. At each stop, the driver will unload the boxes, bring them to the rear of the trailer using a hand truck, and place them onto the store's conveyor belt.
Boxes can weigh up to 60–70 pounds, so candidates must be comfortable performing physical work throughout the shift.
This is a seasonal assignment with the opportunity to become temp-to-hire for the right candidate.
Requirements:
- Valid Class A CDL
- Minimum of 2 years of recent Class A CDL tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to lift and move boxes weighing up to 60–70 pounds
- Comfortable performing heavy touch freight using a hand truck
- Clean driving record
