Flagship Management

We are seeking an experienced Operations Superintendent to support vessel loading, stowage, and marine operations for a specialized vessel fleet. This position combines technical planning and problem solving with hands-on oversight of vessel loading and unloading operations. The role is based in the Port Everglades area and requires soem travel, including international assignments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop vessel space plans, stowage plans, docking plans, and cargo arrangements.
  • Develop cribbing, sea-fastening, and cargo securing plans.
  • Verify vessel loading and submerging conditions.
  • Coordinate with Commercial, vessel Masters, crews, port agents, terminals, and subcontractors.
  • Plan and oversee yard delivery and storage operations
  • Plan and oversee vessel loading and unloading operations, including scheduling, berth coordination, divers, welders, and other required services.
  • Direct the sequence of cargo operations aboard vessels during port calls.
  • Survey cargo and verify sea fastenings prior to vessel departure.
  • Maintain awareness of port and terminal restrictions and operational limitations.
Qualifications
  • Minimum two years of technical, naval, marine, or merchant maritime education.
  • Knowledge of marine transportation and operational standards such as DNV-ST-N001 or equivalent.
  • Strong Microsoft Office and general PC/IT skills.
  • Seagoing or vessel operations experience is highly desirable.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to coordinate multiple activities and provide leadership during complex vessel operations.
  • Comfortable working aboard vessels, at heights, and in physically demanding marine environments.
  • Right to work in the USA and valid passport required.
  • Ability to travel including internationally.
  • Flexibility to work nights and weekends when vessels are in port.
