About the role
As the SIC on the EMB-550, you will collaborate closely with the Captain to deliver smooth, safe, and efficient operations while providing refined service to high-profile passengers. You’ll leverage your international experience, technical proficiency, and commitment to standard operating procedures to ensure every flight meets the highest professional standards.
Key responsibilities- Execute all flight duties in accordance with company SOPs, FAA regulations, and international procedures.
- Support flight planning, performance calculations, weather/NOTAM review, and fuel planning.
- Conduct thorough preflight, inflight, and postflight procedures; maintain meticulous logs and documentation.
- Practice strong CRM, maintaining clear communication and teamwork with the Captain, crew, and dispatch.
- Uphold a proactive safety culture, identify and mitigate risks, and adhere to all safety protocols.
- Deliver professional, discreet, and anticipatory service to executive and VIP passengers.
- Operate and monitor advanced avionics, navigation, and onboard systems on the EMB-550 platform.
- Adapt to dynamic schedules and changing operational requirements while meeting on-time performance goals.
- Participate in recurrent training and continuous professional development to sustain peak proficiency.
- Minimum 2000 hours total flight time.
- Minimum 500 hours operating multi-engine aircraft.
- Valid FAA Commercial certificate with instrument and multi-engine rating.
- Valid FAA Second Class Medical certificate.
- Valid FCC Restricted Radio Operator's Permit.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States.
- Valid passport with ability to travel internationally without restrictions.
- Fluent English reading, writing, and speaking ability.
- Experience flying internationally.
- Strong commitment to safety and adherence to safety protocols.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work varying hours including day, night, weekdays, weekends, and holidays.
- Extreme flexibility and ability to adjust to rapid changes.
- Ability to interact professionally with passengers and crew.
- Proven ability to make effective decisions under pressure.
- Proven ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Focus on providing exceptional customer service to high-profile passengers and executives.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and training.
- Technical proficiency with aviation technology and navigation systems.
- Problem-solving ability for technical and operational issues.
- Associate degree preferred but not required.
- Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance.
- SIMPLE IRA with employer matching.
- Varying hours including days, nights, weekdays, weekends, and holidays.
- International operations; must be able to travel abroad without restrictions.
- Primary base in Fort Lauderdale with trips across the U.S. and internationally.
