Transportation Supervisor – Apopka (Orlando)What You’ll Do:
You’ll lead a fast-paced transportation team that keeps critical deliveries running smoothly and safely. This isn’t just about moving products - it’s about people, performance, and precision. If you're a logistics leader who knows how to motivate teams, resolve issues on the fly, and keep things rolling no matter what, you’re in the right place.
In This Role, You’ll:- Oversee and optimize daily transportation activities, including route analysis, delivery performance, and staffing needs
- Schedule and manage equipment and personnel to meet delivery demands, including special or supplemental orders
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and coordinate with maintenance providers for timely repairs
- Coach and support team members through performance evaluations, feedback, and daily motivation
- 3+ years of transportation or food distribution experience, including supervisory roles
- Working knowledge of DOT regulations, driver safety, routing software, and logistics reporting
- Strong leadership and conflict-resolution skills - you know how to lead through complexity
- Ability to communicate clearly with internal teams, drivers, and external partners
- Work in a temperature-controlled warehouse- dry, chill, and freezer zones
- Bachelor’s degree preferred (but not required); management or operations-related fields a plus
- Experience working in unionized environments strongly preferred
- Ability to travel as needed and work onsite in a 24/7 operation
- Supervise a diverse workforce of up to 100 employees Resolve and report delivery issues between drivers and customers: other customer service issues
- Supervise and motivate employees in a team-based environment Interpret transportation operations anomalies and identify appropriate solutions
- Prepare administrative and technical documents and reports
- Work effectively in a general business environment, with a focus on high levels of quality and customer service
- Travel via airplane and drive an automobile
- Act in accordance with GSF’s Values and Creed
- Full-time, on-site supervisory role in a temperature-controlled warehouse
- Sunday–Wednesday or Wednesday–Saturday
- Supports a 24/7 operation with flexibility required for evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Leads a large-scale transportation team focused on safety, reliability, and service
