Roadway Moving is hiring CDL Class A and CDL Class B truck drivers across five markets. Local routes and dedicated long haul routes are both open. All routes are from warehouse to warehouse, no touch freight, with no residential deliveries and no customer interaction.
- CDL Class A, Dedicated Long Haul. Chicago, IL to Bronx, NY. Weekly round trip on a dedicated lane, drop and hook between Roadway warehouses, no touch freight.
- CDL Class A, West Coast Regional. Los Angeles to San Francisco to Seattle. Regional freight between Roadway warehouse locations.
- Operate a Class A tractor trailer or a Class B straight truck between Roadway warehouse and terminal locations
- Haul no touch freight on assigned dedicated and regional lanes
- Complete assigned routes safely and on schedule
- Perform DOT pre trip and post trip vehicle inspections
- Complete trip logs, ELD entries, bills of lading and required DOT documentation
- Stay in contact with dispatch on route progress, delays and mechanical issues
- Follow FMCSA hours of service rules, DOT regulations and Roadway safety procedures
- Maintain safe, courteous and professional driving practices at all times
- Valid CDL Class A license
- Minimum 1 year of verifiable commercial driving experience in the class you hold
- Clean MVR and a safe driving record
- Current DOT medical card and the ability to meet all DOT and FMCSA requirements
- Ability to pass pre-employment screening, including DOT drug and alcohol testing and a Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse query
- Air brake endorsement. Doubles and triples, tankers and Haz Mat endorsements are a plus and are not required.
- Strong communication and time management skills
- OTR, regional or long-distance experience preferred for Class A routes
CDL Class A dedicated long haul and West Coast regional: $100,000 to $150,000 annually
These ranges reflect what Roadway Moving in good faith expects to pay for these roles at the time of this posting. Actual pay depends on route, market, license class, verifiable experience and driving record.
$2,500 Referral BonusKnow a qualified CDL Class A? Refer them to Roadway Moving. You receive $2,500 and the driver you refer receives a $2,500 bonus.
Bonuses are earned once the referred driver completes 90 days of continuous service with Roadway Moving and is in good standing on that date. Referrals are open to current Roadway team members and to the public. Bonuses are paid under Roadway Moving's written referral program and are subject to its eligibility rules. Roadway Moving may change or discontinue the program at any time.
