The Chief Pilot supervises all flight crew personnel and exercises operational control over company flights conducted under REVA 14 CFR Part 135 certificates. The position is accountable for the qualification, standardization, scheduling, and supervision of company pilots, and is the management official responsible to the Director of Operations for the safe and efficient conduct of flight operations.

The Chief Pilot conducts or supervises all training activities of flight crew personnel and owns the development, FAA approval, delivery, and continuous improvement of flight crew member training programs, the maintenance and audit of all pilot training records, and the oversight of Instructor Pilots and Check Airmen in house and at contracted training providers. The Chief Pilot serves as a point of contact with the FAA Flight Standards District Office on flight crew qualification and training matters for each certificate.

This is a working leadership role rather than a purely administrative one. The Chief Pilot maintains proficiency as Pilot-in-Command, instructs ground and line training personally, performs crew member evaluations as an authorized Check Airman, exercises operational control on a scheduled basis, and flies revenue and special mission legs as qualification and schedule permit. Because the role spans two certificates, the incumbent is responsible for keeping each certificate's operations, training program, approvals, and records distinct and independently auditable.

• Report to the Director of Operations.
• Supervise all flight crew personnel assigned to either certificate.
• Exercise operational control over all flights together with the Director of Operations. The Chief Pilot will initiate, conduct, or terminate a flight for the company.
• Exercise Operational Control a minimum of three days per week in accordance with the General Operations Manual and Operations Specifications of the applicable certificate.
• Remain accountable for company pilots in the performance of the operations of company aircraft in a safe and efficient manner.
• Determine, and have sufficient knowledge to determine, that each assigned crew member is qualified and eligible to serve as a required crew member in the type of operation to which the crew member is assigned.
• Ensure that all flight crew personnel are certificated and supervised in accordance with the requirements specified in the Federal Aviation Regulations.
• Maintain the knowledge and qualification required to plan, organize, direct, and control the company's flight operations activities.
• Assist the Director of Operations in formulating operations policies, coordinate those policies, and coordinate operations and training.
• Advise the Director of Operations regarding the training of flight crew personnel, and submit all reports regarding flight personnel to the Director of Operations.
• Maintain proficiency as Pilot-in-Command.
• Receive training in, remain knowledgeable of, and participate in the company's Safety Management System (SMS) program.

• Ensure that all aircraft are properly equipped for the applicable operation.
• Determine whether the aircraft assigned for use is listed in Operations Specification sand is airworthy under the company's FAA approved aircraft inspection program.
• Assure that current aircraft checklists and all pertinent information relative to safe flight operations are available to crew members.
• Disseminate information to all crew members pertaining to routes, airports, NOTAMs, NAVAIDs, company policies, and regulations.
• Fly revenue trips when schedule and qualification permit.
• Conduct maintenance return to service, ferry, and other special flights as needed.

• Schedule flight crew members, including assigning Pilot-in-Command duties.
• Prepare and maintain proficiency records, pilot files, flight schedules, duty time records, reports, and correspondence pertaining to flight operations activities.
• Maintain a current list of pilot names and certificate numbers at the principal base of operations.
