Shipping and Receiving Specialist

We are seeking a detail-oriented and efficient Shipping and Receiving Specialist to oversee the receiving, storage, and distribution of products. This role involves maintaining inventory management systems, coordinating with other departments, and implementing warehouse policies to ensure efficiency and safety.

• Oversee the receiving, storage, and distribution of products, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
• Maintain inventory management systems to track stock levels, orders, and deliveries.
• Coordinate with other departments, such as procurement and logistics, to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.
• Develop and implement warehouse policies and procedures to improve efficiency and safety.
• Monitor warehouse equipment and supplies and order new items when needed.
• Ensure the warehouse is clean and organized and that safety protocols are followed.
• Train and supervise warehouse staff to ensure their tasks are completed in a timely and efficient manner.
• Handle customer orders and ensure picking accuracy such as right product and right quantity.
• Report any damages and inventory discrepancies.
• Perform housekeeping duties and ensure workplace health and safety requirements are met.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 3 years of experience in a warehouse or related field.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Experience with inventory management systems and RF scanners.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and respond promptly and correctly.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time and be able to bend and reach overhead.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel and Word).
• Strong computer skills and procurement experience is a plus.

This role offers a blend of working in an open-air warehouse and office setting. The standard work schedule is Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fort Lauderdale, FL.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Fort Lauderdale, FL.
