Position Description

Immediately hiring a Permanent Full Time Warehouse Associate to support our Facility at Ryder in Ft. Lauderdale, FL!

• Pay: $18.25 per hour

  Ability to Learn/Operate Powered Industrial Equipment such as Stand‑up and Sit‑Down Forklifts, Cherry Pickers, Pallet Jacks, etc.

• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
• Six months of related warehouse experience required; one year or more preferred
• Ability to operate powered industrial truck(s) such as stand‑up and sit‑down forklifts, cherry pickers, pallet jacks (including maintenance and battery change)
• Intermediate knowledge to operate manual and/or automated warehouse/manufacturing equipment (e.g., packaging line) (preferred)
• Powered industrial truck certification
• Ability to read, do basic mathematics in English for safety, work instructions, policies, etc.
• Strength to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted
• Data entry into WMS computer system(s) in use
• Willingness to work overtime as assigned
• Ability to build professional relationships with peers, customers, supervisors
• Teamwork and independent work skills
• Self‑driven and adaptable in fast‑paced environment
• Excellent time‑management, multi‑tasking, organization, and follow‑up skills

Some positions require additional screening, including employment and education verification, motor‑vehicle records check, road test, and/or background and badging requirements of the customer.

• Package, kit, and assemble orders and materials.
• Load and unload inbound/outbound trailers, ensuring scanning is completed correctly. Assist dock employees on new procedures.
• Secure facility at end of shift; investigate/resolve scanning issues and maintain housekeeping. Perform picking and packing duties. Check for product or container damage.
• Perform tasks as described in policies and procedures, handling materials and transactions.
• Conduct material moves and associated physical/logical transactions.
• Participate in workgroup and team activities to improve warehouse operations.
• Perform housekeeping duties for assigned area.
• Other duties as assigned.
