Warehouse Supervisor

Warehouse Supervisor (Fort Lauderdale, FL)

Supervises warehouse and/or production activities and personnel. Assigns staff and monitors the flow of products through the plant. Makes recommendations for process improvement.

• Ensures operational procedures for activities such as verification of incoming receipts and outgoing shipments, handling and disposition of products, and keeping warehouse inventory current.
• Inspects the physical condition of the warehouse and equipment, communicates the need for repairs and requisitions for replacement of equipment.
• Collaborates with other distribution centers and business leaders to ensure coordination of all business.
• Participates in employee safety and plant protection activities.
• Provides leadership, ensures adherence to company practices and procedures, applies corrective action when needed.
• Interviews, trains, and retains staff.
• Conducts performance monitoring of staff, initiates follow‑through with disciplinary action when appropriate for the department.
• Mentors, motivates, and develops staff and serves as a role model and resource to them.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Ability to work effectively with others and build and maintain appropriate interpersonal relationships.
• Must be able to read, analyze, present, and interpret written documentation.
• Ability to respond to questions from groups of managers.
• Must have good time management and organizational skills.
• Must have a good understanding of USDA regulations.
• Ability to solve business problems and interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, verbal, diagram, or schedule formats.
• Must immediately perceive auditory warning signals such as bells, alarms, and horns that are used to warn employees of the start‑up, movement, or approach of equipment.

• Desktop or laptop computer.
• Networked printer/copy/scan.
• Google Applications (Chrome, Gmail, Calendar, Docs, Sheets, Slides, Drive, etc.).
• Microsoft Office Products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Internet Explorer).
• Telephone and voicemail.
• Specific software for company RF Scangun, Powered Industrial Vehicle (PIV), shrink wrap machine.

3 years of warehouse experience required. At least 1 year of supervisory experience preferred.
