The Broward County Board of County Commissioners is seeking qualified candidates for Storekeeper (FMD).

The Storekeeper responsibilities include the purchase of items by creating or requesting purchase orders and by using a purchasing card; receives, stores, issues, records, stocks and counts commodities and materials; maintains the warehouse and equipment to ensure all equipment is in proper working order; ensures timely flow of all services and dispersement of commodities; and performs annual inventory within the warehouse and at off‑site locations.
Proficiently uses various software applications such as Adobe, AiM, People Soft and Microsoft Office Excel, Word and Outlook; uses a computerized maintenance management software to document inventory transactions on a daily basis.
The Storekeeper uses initiative and judgment when working with vendors, trades staff and upper management and is self‑motivated to accurately perform duties in a timely manner with minimal supervision.
The Storekeeper is considered an essential employee and will be called to work in the event of a disaster, such as a hurricane, or other emergency situations and is expected to perform emergency service duties as assigned.

Minimum Education And Experience RequirementsRequires one (1) year in warehouse operations such as ordering, receiving and inventory or closely related experience.
Special Certifications and LicensesNone.
Preferences- Associate's, or Vocational, Degree in Inventory Management, Business Administration, or close related field.
- Bachelor's Degree in Inventory Management, Business Administration, or closely related
- Certified Agency Buyer Certificate (CAB), OR Certified Public Procurement Officer (CPPO) and Certified Professional Public Buyer (CPPB).
- Qualified OR Certified Warehouse Logistics Professional (QWLP/CWLP).
- At least one (1) year of experience using Asset Works/AIM, or similar work management system software.
- At least one (1) year of experience using People Soft, or similar financial management system software.
- Basic knowledge of electrical wiring, fittings, lighting, ballasts, construction materials, and related items maintained in a commercial/industrial warehouse.
