We are seeking an experienced Strategic Communications / Command Products Specialist to support senior-leader communications, executive presentations, command messaging, information products, and staff coordination for a U.S. Army organization at Fort Lee, Virginia. The successful candidate must be able to receive senior-leader intent, incomplete information, data calls, and staff inputs and transform them into concise, accurate, professional command-level products.
Key Responsibilities- Develop, edit, and refine senior-leader PowerPoint presentations and executive briefing products
- Draft and refine command messages, information papers, talking points, executive summaries, speeches, and related communications products
- Develop first, intermediate, and final drafts based on Government direction and stakeholder input
- Coordinate data calls and consolidate inputs from multiple organizations
- Support General Officer and senior-leader briefings, Town Halls, Distinguished Visitor events, and other command activities
- Coordinate and participate in in-process reviews, working sessions, and recurring meetings
- Maintain task status, schedules, due dates, and product-development actions
- Perform substantive editing, proofreading, formatting, and quality review
- Coordinate with technical and multimedia personnel to integrate data, graphics, imagery, and other content
- Respond rapidly to changing senior-leader priorities and short-notice requirements
- Demonstrated professional writing and substantive editing ability
- Experience developing executive, command, or senior-leadership communications products
- Ability to synthesize complex or incomplete information into concise and visually effective products
- Strong organizational, coordination, and customer-interface skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Teams, and collaborative environments
- High-level written and oral communication skills; fluent English
- Ability to work onsite at Fort Lee
- Experience supporting General Officers, Senior Executives, command groups, or comparable senior leadership
- Experience with Army staffing processes, battle rhythm, tasking systems, in-process reviews, data calls, TASKORDs, or FRAGOs
- Strategic communications, public affairs, operations, executive communications, or command-group experience
- SharePoint content-management experience
- Familiarity with Army writing, staffing, and briefing conventions
- Professional writing and editing
- Information synthesis
- Staff coordination and task management
