Interior Designer (Mid-Career) One of our clients is seeking an Interior Designer to join their design team in Fort Lee, NJ. The ideal candidate] will have strong design sensibility, technical ability, and the flexibility to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES- Develop design concepts, space planning, and presentations
- Create detailed 3D models in Sketch Up
- Produce accurate AutoCAD drawings and construction documentation
- Prepare floor plans, RCPs, elevations, sections, finish plans, and millwork details
- Select and specify materials, finishes, furniture, fixtures, and lighting
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, vendors, and fabricators
- Participate in site visits, field measurements, and construction coordination
- Manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Senior candidates may lead projects, manage client relationships, and oversee junior team members
- Strong Sketch Up and AutoCAD proficiency
- Candidates should be comfortable moving efficiently between: 3D design development in Sketch Up to 2D technical documentation in AutoCAD.
- A strong understanding of interior construction, materials, millwork, and detailing is expected.
- Revit is not required.
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, rendering/visualization software, and other relevant design tools is preferred.
- Experience using AI-assisted design and productivity tools is a strong plus.
- We value candidates who actively use or explore AI for visualization, concept development, presentations, research, documentation, and overall workflow efficiency.
Professional Korean and English bilingual (preferred). The position requires regular communication and coordination with both the U.S.
-based project team and Korea-based clients, including project discussions, presentations, meetings, and written communication.
- Degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, Architecture, or related field preferred
- Strong design and space-planning skills
- Strong Sketch Up 3D modeling skills
- Efficient AutoCAD drafting and documentation skills
- Knowledge of interior construction, materials, finishes, and millwork
- Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills
- Ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines
- Portfolio demonstrating both design and technical capabilities
- Intermediate Interior Designer 3–6 Years
- The anticipated annual base salary for a full-time position is $65,000–$85,000, depending on the candidate’s experience, portfolio, technical proficiency, and overall qualifications.
- This is a W-2 employee position based in Fort Lee, New Jersey.
- Both full-time and part-time candidates will be considered.
- Full-time positions are anticipated at approximately 30–40 hours per week.
- For part-time positions, compensation will be prorated based on the agreed-upon work schedule and the applicable full-time annual salary, with specific hours and terms discussed during the interview process.
- This is an in-office position.
