Exilic NJ is a new church plant of Exilic Church that is launching in January 2027 in Fort Lee, NJ.

We are looking for a Kids Director who will be responsible for the leadership and coordination of the children’s ministry, from birth to 12th grade. They will be responsible for training and scheduling volunteers in addition to leading the worship on Sunday mornings. They will adopt the mission of the ministry which is “to teach our children the gospel of Jesus Christ as revealed to us in the Bible”, and the vision to support our families in raising our children up in the love and admonition of the Lord.

• Plan and coordinate the teaching curriculum.
• Recruit and develop volunteers to help teach on Sundays.
• Facilitate background checks and safety training for volunteers.
• Manage volunteer scheduling for both elementary and preschool volunteers.
• Coordinate parent volunteers for nursery programming.
• Implement discipleship pathways for youth students and collaborate with local churches for events.
• Plan and coordinate special events (e.g. special Christmas service song, Fall Festival, Spring Picnic).
• Plan activities and teach VBS during the summer.
• Manage inventory, property, and budget for the ministry.
• Stay connected with Exilic NJ families for special occasions, baptisms, resources, and support.
• Send weekly communication to parents with a summary of Sunday’s lesson.
• Send monthly newsletters to families highlighting upcoming events, curriculum focus, volunteer and family spotlights, and parent resources.

• 20 hours/week
• This is a half-time salaried position with on-site responsibilities during Sundays and some weekdays.
• Occasional evening or weekend meetings and events required.

• Four-year undergraduate degree.
• 3+ years of experience serving or leading in children’s ministry, education or childcare.
• Strong organizational skills with capacity to manage schedules, classroom preparation, events, and communication rhythms.
• Ability to create a positive and engaging learning environment for children.
• Must be a dependable, team player and self-starter with ability to take initiative.
• CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
