Senior Logistics Analyst; Maintenance

Overview

LMI seeks a Senior Logistics Analyst to provide support to our Army client onsite at Fort Lee, VA. The position supports the Combined Arms Support Command (CASCOM) Organizational Development Directorate (Ordnance) in the assessment of force structure, Total Army Analysis (TAA), and Multi-Domain Operations (MDO) maintenance/ammunition requirements. Successful candidates will demonstrate competency in critical thinking and data analysis while upholding the highest standard of ethical behavior.

This position cannot be worked remotely.

• Analyze tactical and operational requirements in MDO scenarios; identify maintenance vulnerabilities and propose solutions for future maintenance operations.
• Review Maintenance Allocation Charts (MAC) and calculate new maintenance Manpower Allocation Criteria (MARC) based on MDO requirements.
• Conduct qualitative and quantitative analysis of maintenance operations; apply that analysis to allocate resources (manning /equipment) across the battlefield.
• Participate and contribute in MDO maintenance concept working groups and operational planning team (OPT) sessions
• Communicate with the client and stakeholders through written reports and oral presentations.
• Participate in ammunition studies, including short ton requirements for existing and theoretical combat platforms, force sets, and operational plans.
• Coordinate and staff recommendations with multiple agencies

• Bachelor’s degree required. Degree in engineering, operations research, mathematics, business analytics or a related discipline preferred.
• 5-7 years of relevant logistics work experience.
• Strong understanding of the Army’s current Maintenance organizational structures, concepts, and support programs.
• Strong knowledge of the DOD’s National Level Ammunition Capability, be able to run reports, research ammunition DODICs, and ammunition explosive safety.
• Strong quantitative skills, including the ability to use spreadsheet, business intelligence tools, databases, and project management software.
• Demonstrated ability to quickly acquire and apply domain-specific expertise through on-the-job training and professional development training.
• Superior communication skills, both oral and written.
• Current U.S. Government security clearance preferred, ability to obtain one is required.
• Available for occasional travel.
