Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Sales Representative role based in Fort Lee, NJ. The Sales Representative will identify and contact prospective advertisers, build and maintain relationships with local businesses, and present advertising solutions that align with their marketing goals. Daily responsibilities include generating leads, conducting sales calls and in-person meetings, preparing proposals, negotiating rates, and closing deals. The role also involves coordinating with the editorial and marketing teams to ensure advertiser campaigns are delivered as promised and tracking performance to support renewals.

The Sales Representative will manage a sales pipeline, meet or exceed sales targets, and represent Everything Bergen at local events and networking opportunities.

Qualifications

• Strong sales and business development skills, including prospecting, relationship building, and closing deals.
• Proficiency in communication and presentation, with the ability to explain advertising solutions clearly and persuasively.
• Experience with basic CRM tools or lead-tracking systems and comfort working with sales metrics and reports.
• Knowledge of local advertising, media, or publishing is preferred; familiarity with Bergen County and surrounding areas is a plus.
• Ability to work on-site in Fort Lee, NJ, manage time effectively, and handle multiple accounts and deadlines.
• Demonstrated customer service mindset and a collaborative approach to working with internal teams and external partners.
• Prior experience in sales, account management, or a related field; a background in media or marketing is beneficial.
• High school diploma required; an associate or bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related area is a plus.
