Job Overview

JD Audio & Video Design Inc. is seeking an experienced Lead CCTV/Access Control Technician to deliver expert security system installations and service for luxury residential and commercial clients throughout the tri‑state area. In this critical role, you’ll lead the hands‑on installation, configuration, and maintenance of cutting‑edge CCTV, access control, and intrusion systems. You'll be relied on to manage technical details with precision, ensure high‑quality installations, and support project milestones from planning to completion.

Install, configure, and service CCTV, access control, and intrusion systems in residential and commercial environments.

Route and install low‑voltage wiring, including conduit bending for new construction and retrofit projects.

Read and interpret blueprints and floor plans to guide installations.

Program systems to include camera setup, card reader configurations, alarm point additions, and integration.

Conduct equipment testing and verification to ensure optimal system performance.

Communicate project status, issues, and accomplishments to Project Managers and Field Supervisors.

Complete daily reports using project management software.

Maintain inventory, tools, and prepare work vehicles for daily tasks.

Provide client training upon project completion and ensure final documentation is delivered.

Participate in a rotating on‑call schedule, responding to after‑hours service needs as required.

Ensure all work meets company quality, safety, and productivity standards.

Qualifications

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent required. Vocational/technical school preferred.

Certifications:

OSHA 30 required; SST certification preferred.

Experience:

Minimum 3 years of hands‑on experience in security system installation.

Must be experienced in conduit bending, hardware mounting, and system testing.

Strong understanding of access control infrastructure, CCTV integration, and low‑voltage cabling.

Comfortable working on ladders and lifting up to 35 lbs.

Must have your own vehicle for commuting and local project travel.

Tech‑savvy with strong documentation, communication, and organizational skills.

Must pass a background check and MVR screening per company policy.

Bi‑lingual and/or NYC Fire Alarm license a plus (not required).

Full‑Time
