Location & Shift- Location: Fort Lee Commissary.
- Shift: Monday - Friday 9:00 am through 5:30 pm. (OFF: WEDNESDAY AND SUNDAY).
- Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
- Unload delivery trucks using manual or powered equipment.
- Inspect and verify incoming shipments to make sure everything checks out.
- Sort, label, and stage stock for smooth distribution.
- Safely and efficiently move inventory to the right departments.
- Keep the receiving and backroom areas clean, organized, and cluttered.
- Break down packaging and recycle materials responsibly.
- Support other departments with stock replenishment when needed.
- Follow all safety protocols and lift like a pro.
- Start your shift: Trucks arrive with new products, and you help unload them using pallet jacks or hand trucks. You’ll handle everything from produce to dairy to dry goods.
- Check deliveries: You read labels, count items, and make sure each shipment matches the paperwork.
- Move products: You sort, label, and move items to the right storage areas or the sales floor.
- Keep it clean: You break down boxes, clean up spills, and keep the workspace safe and organized.
- Wrap up: By the end of your shift, you’ve moved a lot of groceries and kept things running smoothly — and you’ll definitely get your steps in.

- Lift, carry, push, and pull items weighing 25–50 lbs; sometimes up to 75 lbs using proper lifting methods.
- Stand and walk on concrete floors for up to 8 hours or longer each shift.
- Frequently bend, squat, twist, reach, and kneel while moving and handling stock.
- Use step stools and ladders to reach high shelves; must have good balance.
- Operate pallet jacks, hand trucks, shrink wrap machines, and other basic equipment.
- Work in cold areas like walk‑in coolers and freezers, and in warm or outdoor delivery zones.
- Be comfortable in moderate noise from equipment and deliveries.
- Handle various packaging materials that may include light dust or allergens.
- Wear provided safety gear such as gloves, non‑slip shoes, and back support as needed.
- Adjust to lighting and temperature changes throughout the day as work conditions shift.
