Drama Club Assistant Co-Sponsor

The Drama Club Assistant Co-Sponsor supports the Drama Club Sponsor in planning, organizing, and directing the school's drama program. This position helps provide students with meaningful extracurricular experiences through the production of theatrical performances while fostering creativity, leadership, teamwork, confidence, and responsibility. Responsibilities include assisting with all aspects of drama productions, including auditions, rehearsals, acting, singing and dancing (for musicals), set construction, lighting, sound, costumes, makeup, props, fundraising, ticket sales, promotion, house management, and post-production activities.

Salary range per the Weld RE-8 Extra Duty Salary Schedule.

Qualifications:

Colorado teaching license preferred. Experience working with high school drama, theater, performing arts, or extracurricular activities preferred. Experience directing, coaching, or assisting student activities preferred. Knowledge of theater production, including stage management, lighting, sound, costumes, and set design. Ability to supervise students in a safe and positive environment. Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work collaboratively with students, staff, parents, and community members.

Demonstrated commitment to promoting teamwork, leadership, responsibility, and student growth. Any certifications or credentials required by the District or applicable governing organizations.

Conditions of employment:
Assignment is for the  school year and includes applicable off-season activities. Employment is contingent upon approval by the Weld RE-8 Board of Education. Successful completion of all pre-employment requirements, including a background check. Weld RE-8 is a Drug-Free Workplace.
